1. Data Controller

2. What data we collect
- Email address — collected when you enter it before payment. Your email is stored as part of your plan record and used to deliver your PDF itinerary.
- Trip preferences — destination, number of days, group type, budget tier, and travel style. These are anonymous and contain no personally identifiable information.
- Generated itinerary — the AI-generated travel plan created from your inputs, stored so you can access it via your unique plan URL.
No user accounts are created. Plans are identified by an anonymous random URL. We do not collect names, addresses, or payment card data — payment is handled entirely by Paddle.
3. Why we collect it
- Email — to deliver your PDF itinerary after payment. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters.
- Trip preferences and itinerary — to generate and display your personalised travel plan, and to allow you to return to it via your unique URL.
4. Data retention
- Unpaid plans are automatically deleted after 7 days.
- Your email address is stored as part of your plan record for as long as the plan is retained.
5. Analytics and cookies
We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use TripKit. Google Analytics is loaded only after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected and no tracking cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and declining again on your next visit. If analytics are not enabled, no tracking occurs and no cookie banner is shown.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data. Because plans are anonymous (no accounts), please include your plan URL or ID in your request.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Restriction and objection — ask us to limit or stop processing your data.
